Maximin Grünhaus

Maximin Grünhaus is one of the great names in the German wine world – and has been for centuries. The winery in the Ruwer Valley, a quiet side valley of the Moselle, was once owned by the Benedictine monastery of St. Maximin. Today, the von Schubert family cultivates this heritage with dedication and precision.

The three vineyard sites of Abtsberg, Bruderberg, and Herrenberg produce Rieslings that speak for themselves: delicate, mineral, with that unmistakable coolness and elegance that makes the Ruwer region so special. Whether a fresh and fruity Kabinett or a deep Spätlese – here you can taste history in every glass.

Centuries-old heritage, Ruwer elegance: the von Schubert family

Once owned by Benedictine monks, now in the hands of the von Schubert family: Maximin Grünhaus unites three vineyard sites – Abtsberg, Bruderberg and Herrenberg – to create one of the most precise Riesling profiles on the Ruwer. Cool, mineral, and of great finesse.
