Yarden Pinot Noir

A Pinot Noir from the Golan Heights that plays with its altitude: cooler temperatures than in the rest of Israel, long growing season, intense aromas with a fine structure.

Golan Heights Winery was founded in 1983 by a group of kibbutzim and moshavim on the Golan Heights and is now considered one of the pioneers of modern Israeli winemaking. The Yarden line represents the winery's highest quality level. The vineyards lie between 400 and 1,200 meters above sea level—unusual for the region, but crucial for the wine's freshness.

In the glass, the Pinot Noir displays aromas of sour cherry and blackberry, along with a hint of raspberry jam and dried herbs. Sixteen months of aging in French oak barrels impart a subtle spiciness—cedarwood, a touch of vanilla—without overpowering the fruit. The tannins are silky, the acidity precise, and the finish medium-long with a light earthy note.
