Yarden Pinot Noir

A Pinot Noir from the Golan that plays with its high altitude: cooler temperatures than in the rest of Israel, long growing season, intense aromas combined with a fine structure.

The Golan Heights Winery was founded in 1983 by a group of kibbutzim and moshavim on the Golan and is now considered one of the pioneers of modern Israeli viticulture. The Yarden line represents the house's highest quality level. The vineyards are located between 400 and 1,200 meters above sea level — unusual for the region, decisive for the freshness in the glass.

In the glass, the Pinot Noir shows aromas of sour cherry and blackberry, plus a hint of raspberry confit and dried herbs. 16 months of aging in French oak barrels leave a subtle spice — cedar wood, a trace of vanilla — without overpowering the fruit. The tannins are silky, the acidity precise, the finish medium-long with a slight earthy note.
