Family-grown Pinot Gris dry
A dry Pinot Gris from Franconia that combines substance and freshness — with the typical Franconian straightforwardness that suits this grape variety particularly well here.
Winzer Sommerach is one of the largest winegrowers' cooperatives in Franconia, located in the Main River loop. What makes their family-run wine line special is that each bottle bears the name of the participating winegrowing families – not an anonymous cooperative wine, but a traceable, handcrafted product from a family business.
In the glass, it displays aromas of quince and a hint of honey, along with a distinct minerality typical of the limestone and Keuper soils around Sommerach. The palate is full-bodied without being heavy, the acidity is well-integrated, and the finish is clean and dry.
