Donnafugata Lighea Zibibbo

The Lighea Zibibbo Sicilia presents itself in the glass with a straw-yellow color and green reflections, offering a richly fragrant bouquet. It features classic notes of orange blossom, as well as hints of flat peach and Mediterranean scrubland. On the palate, it impresses with its fresh, mineral character, which perfectly complements its aroma. A perfect accompaniment to the classic pasta with sardines in oil, Pasta con le Sarde, which has reflected the Mediterranean cuisine of Sicily for centuries. Donnafugata

Donnafugata – “woman on the run.” The name references the novel “Il Gattopardo” and the story of a queen who found refuge precisely where the vineyards now lie. This is the inspiration for the logo. Giacomo Rallo founded the winery in 1983 with his wife Gabriella. He came from a family with over 160 years of experience in quality winemaking and revolutionized the style of Sicilian wines. Until his death in 2016, he led the winery with vision. Today, José and Antonio Rallo, the fifth generation, manage a team of professionals who share excellence and the Italian way of life with the world – always seeking new challenges.
