The Lighea Zibibbo Sicilia presents itself in the glass in a straw yellow with green reflections and is an extensively fragrant bouquet. It offers classic notes of orange blossoms as well as notes of flat peach and Mediterranean scrub. In terms of taste, it convinces with its fresh mineral note, which corresponds to its scent.
A perfect companion to the classic pasta with sardines, Pasta con le Sarde, which has reflected the Mediterranean cuisine of Sicily for many centuries.

The Winery
Donnafugata – "Woman on the run". The name refers to the novel "The Leopard" and the story of a queen who found refuge exactly where the vineyards are today. The inspiration for the logo.
Giacomo Rallo founded the winery in 1983 with his wife Gabriella. He came from a family with over 160 years of experience in quality viticulture and revolutionized the style of Sicilian wines. Until his death in 2016, he led the house with vision.
Today, José and Antonio Rallo lead a team of professionals in the fifth generation who carry excellence and the Italian way of life into the world – always in search of new challenges.
