Pierpaolo Pecorari Friulian

Pierpaolo Pecorari Friulian
A white wine from Friuli-Venezia Giulia that shows what makes this northeastern Italian region so special: clear fruit, lively acidity, and a mineral depth that comes from the soils between the Alps and the Adriatic.
Pierpaolo Pecorari manages his winery in the DOC Isonzo, one of the best locations in Friuli for aromatic white wines. The family relies on careful hand-harvesting and gentle cellar work to bring the character of the grape variety and the terroir into the glass as directly as possible — without excessive technological intervention.
In the glass, the wine shows a bright, greenish-gold color. The nose brings fresh pear, citrus zest, and a hint of white peach. Lively on the palate, with well-integrated acidity and a clean, slightly mineral finish. Not a heavy wine — rather precise and direct.
Best served at 8–10 °C. Pairs well with seafood, pan-fried sole fillet, risotto with zucchini, or a light goat cheese. Also a good choice as an uncomplicated aperitif — especially on warm evenings.
