Pierpaolo Pecorari Friulian

A white wine from Friuli-Venezia Giulia that shows what makes this northeastern Italian region so special: clear fruit, lively acidity, and a mineral depth that comes from the soils between the Alps and the Adriatic.

Pierpaolo Pecorari manages his winery in the DOC Isonzo, one of the best locations in Friuli for aromatic white wines. The family relies on careful hand-harvesting and gentle cellar work to bring the character of the grape variety and the terroir into the glass as directly as possible — without excessive technological intervention.

In the glass, the wine shows a bright, greenish-gold color. The nose brings fresh pear, citrus zest, and a hint of white peach. Lively on the palate, with well-integrated acidity and a clean, slightly mineral finish. Not a heavy wine — rather precise and direct.

Best served at 8–10 °C. Pairs well with seafood, pan-fried sole fillet, risotto with zucchini, or a light goat cheese. Also a good choice as an uncomplicated aperitif — especially on warm evenings.

Pierpaolo Pecorari

The small but fine winery of Pierpaolo Pecorari is located in the enchanting region between the sea and the mountains in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region.

Located on the left bank of the Isonzo River, the "Azienda Agricola Pierpaolo Pecorari" winery was officially certified as an organic farm in 2007 and covers approx. 30 hectares of vineyards. It is precisely for this reason that P.P. does not market his wines as mass-produced goods, but is keen to convey his love for his wines to the wine connoisseur.
