Pfaffmann Riesling sparkling wine, dry

A Riesling sparkling wine from the Palatinate region that showcases the grape variety's potential in sparkling wine: no distracting sweetness, but rather a clear structure. Karl Pfaffmann from Venningen vinifies it dry—with fine bubbles and an acidity that supports the wine without being harsh.

On the nose, cool minerality, apple, and a hint of white pear. Smooth on the palate, with subtle fruit (pear, peach) and a long, mineral-driven finish. The perlage is fine and persistent.

Well chilled to 7–8 °C as an aperitif, with asparagus and hollandaise sauce, or with light fish dishes with lemon butter. For those who appreciate Champagne but are looking for a Palatinate alternative: here it is.
