Pfaffmann Walsheimer Silberberg Chardonnay

Pfaffmann Walsheimer Silberberg Chardonnay
A Chardonnay from the Palatinate that shows why the region is much more than just Riesling: ripe fruit, clear structure, easy-drinking character.
The Karl Pfaffmann winery in Walsheim is one of the established family-run wineries in the Palatinate region. The Walsheimer Silberberg vineyard benefits from the mild climate south of Landau – plenty of sunshine and warm soils that give the Chardonnay the necessary ripeness.
In the glass, the wine opens with aromas of mirabelle plum, mango, and honeydew melon, underpinned by pear and a bright citrus note. The mouthfeel is round and approachable, the acidity present enough to maintain freshness without being harsh. The finish is clean and fruit-forward.
Serving temperature: 10–12 °C . Pairs well with chicken breast with herb butter, pasta with creamy mushroom sauce, or a mild goat cheese. Also a good choice as an uncomplicated summer evening wine on the patio. Drinking window: now until 2026.
