Pfaffmann Riesling Selection Kirchenstück dry

A Riesling that brings the power of its location directly into the glass: concentrated, mineral, with a lively freshness that, despite its substance, never makes it seem heavy.

The Karl Pfaffmann winery is located in Walsheim in the Southern Palatinate and has been cultivating vineyards around Nußdorf for generations. The Kirchenstück vineyard is among the estate's best parcels – a calcareous sandstone soil that gives the Riesling its characteristic vibrancy.

The nose offers ripe apricot and white peach, underpinned by a distinct mineral note. On the palate, the true quality of this vineyard site is revealed: dense fruit, firm acidity, yet not an ounce of excess weight. The finish is long and slightly saline – the Kirchenstück vineyard's influence is undeniable.
