Markus Pfaffmann Pinot Noir dry

A medium maceration period with daily stirring of the must allows for a gentle and well-balanced extraction of aromas, color, and tannins. Aging in stainless steel tanks allows the fruit-forward character of the aromas to fully develop. Markus Pfaffmann's Pinot Noir displays a sweet aromatic profile, dominated by small red berries. Ripe cherry at the start, followed by currants and strawberries. Fresh and lively. Harmonious, medium body. Good length on the palate. Smoky, slightly earthy nose with very restrained fruit. Damp forest floor and beetroot, but also pepper, tobacco, and fully ripe blackberry. Beautifully balanced spice with finely structured acidity on the palate. Hints of Morello cherry and dark chocolate. Well-integrated, appealing tannin structure.
