Ghenos Primitivo di Manduria DOC

Ghenos Primitivo di Manduria DOC
Primitivo di Manduria in its direct, powerful form: lots of ripe fruit, dense structure and a finish with a chocolate note.
Torrevento is one of the most reliable wineries in Apulia. The estate works with indigenous grape varieties – above all Primitivo, which reaches its peak on the sun-drenched plateaus of the Murgia and in Salento. The Ghenos carries the DOC Primitivo di Manduria designation, guaranteeing its origin in this core region south of Taranto.
In the glass, it displays a deep ruby red with purple reflections. The nose offers aromas of Amarena cherry and candied orange peel, along with rose, leather, coffee, and vanilla. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied, with dense, ripe tannins – classic for this grape variety. The finish is reminiscent of dark chocolate and lingers pleasantly.
