Sine Nomine Salice Salentino Rosso Riserva DOC
Deep ruby red, with a bouquet that immediately reveals its origin: the Sine Nomine Salice Salentino Rosso Riserva DOC is a classic expression of the Pugliese South – full-bodied, warm, with characterful fruit.
Torrevento is one of the most reliable wineries on the Salento peninsula. The winery works with indigenous grape varieties – above all Negroamaro, the cornerstone of Salice Salentino. The Riserva classification signifies extended aging, mostly in oak barrels, which gives the wine structure and depth without overpowering its fruit-forward character.
In the glass, it displays a deep garnet red. The nose offers aromas of sour cherry and stewed plum, underpinned by licorice, dried herbs, and a hint of vanilla from the barrel aging. On the palate, ripe, concentrated fruit with well-integrated tannins that provide structure without being harsh. The finish is warm and lingeringly spicy.
Serving suggestion: Best served at 16–18 °C. Pairs well with leg of lamb with rosemary, orecchiette with ragù, grilled sausage, or strong hard cheese. Also a pleasant evening wine on its own.
