Docil Loureido Branco Vinho Verde

Docil Loureiro is Niepoort's answer to what Vinho Verde can be when taken seriously: light-footed, but with real bite.

Niepoort – known primarily for its great Douro wines – has also been involved in Vinho Verde for years. The Docil comes from Loureiro vines that have been rooted in the region's granite soils for over 20 years. Mature vines mean deeper roots and more concentrated aromas – the difference compared to mass-produced Vinho Verdes is clearly noticeable.

In the glass, it displays citrus blossom and white peach, along with a cool minerality reminiscent of wet granite. The acidity is lively but not aggressive – the finish remains fresh and salty-spicy, as the soil dictates.
