chablis
A clear, straightforward Chablis — firm in acidity, mineral on the finish, typical of the cool climate north of Auxerre.
Domaine Chanson is one of Burgundy's established négociants and wineries, with roots in Beaune. The grapes for this Chablis come from selected parcels on the hills south of the village—sites with the characteristic Kimmeridgian limestone that gives Chablis its typical salinity.
Pale golden yellow in the glass. The nose reveals hawthorn blossom, lemon zest, and a hint of green apple. Refreshing and precise on the palate: lively acidity, a lean body, and no oak notes. The finish is long, with a fine minerality—the hallmark of a good Chablis.
