Six bottles, three red, three white: Casa Rojo makes wine on the Atlantic coast, in Ribera del Duero and on the Mediterranean, and this pack takes you to all three places. The house of José Luis Gómez is based in the Paraje de La Raja in the Murcia region and consciously works where a grape variety finds its best form. The pack also includes the wine the house calls its icon, and its signature wine from Ribera del Duero.

Mediterranean. El Machoman is Monastrell from 20 to 70-year-old vines on barren limestone soils between the El Carche and La Pila mountain ranges. In the glass, plum, cherry, blackberry and cassis, plus balsamic, menthol, licorice, thyme and rosemary. On the palate, it is full and muscular, with firm tannins and plenty of length, while remaining fresh. El Musso is Cabernet Sauvignon from the heights: cassis and blackberry, the typical note of green bell pepper and black pepper, powerfully built, with well-integrated tannins.
Ribera del Duero. La Tintafina is the house's signature wine, a Tempranillo with blackberry and wild currant, thyme and sage, plus cedar, leather, clove and roasted aromas from aging in French barriques. Juicy, powerful, with elegant tannins. La Malpagada shows what white wine can do in Ribera del Duero: Albillo Mayor with aromas of peach, brioche and honey, creamy and voluminous, carried by fresh acidity. A white that can also handle a few years in the cellar.
Atlantic and Northwest. La Marimorena is Albariño from the Valle del Rosal in the DO Rías Baixas: white flowers, magnolia, Reinette apple and mandarin, fresh on the palate, broad and long, with very refreshing acidity. The Orange Republic is Godello from Cacabelos in the province of León, with peach, apricot, lime, grapefruit and white flowers, plus herbs and a hint of wood and nut. Fresh, silky, with a mineral, dry finish.
Pairs well with. Machoman and Tintafina with lamb, beef and braised dishes, El Musso with game. La Marimorena with seafood and grilled fish, The Orange Republic with fish and salads, La Malpagada with substantial dishes such as poultry or mushrooms. Serve the reds at 16 to 18 °C, the whites chilled at 8 to 12 °C.
In the pack, you pay less than for the six bottles individually. A gift for anyone who likes Spain, or your own journey through an entire wine country. If you want to get to know Casa Rojo first: the Discover Casa Rojo pack has four other wines from the house.
