Bourgogne Aligoté AOC

The grapes for a Bourgogne Aligoté can come from anywhere in Burgundy (Côte d'Or, Saône-et-Loire, Villefranche-sur-Saône), but Louis Jadot prefers the limestone and marl terroirs of Pernand-Vergelesses and Magny-les-Villers. All grapes are harvested at full ripeness and fermented in stainless steel tanks. To preserve their fresh, fruity character, Bourgogne Aligoté wines are not aged in barriques. Color: bright, lustrous white gold with clear, greenish reflections. Aroma: fresh, fragrant bouquet with notes of ripe grapes, green apples, citrus fruits, and a hint of blackcurrant. Taste: lively freshness on the palate with an elegant balance of fine, fruity acidity, subtle minerality, and a beautiful, lingering finish—a delicious Aligoté full of finesse.
