Castello di Pomino Bianco DOC

Looking from the Valdarno Valley towards the first foothills of the Apennines, one's gaze falls upon a landscape wooded with fir, chestnut, and olive trees. From this idyllic setting rises the stately Castello di Pomino, belonging to the Frescobaldi family. It sits enthroned atop the highest vineyards in Tuscany. The vines thrive at altitudes of 300 to 750 meters in a rather cool and windy climate. The high light intensity favors the ripening process and, in particular, the development of aromatic compounds in white grapes, such as those found in Pomino Bianco. Chardonnay and Pinot Bianco find ideal conditions in Tuscany's highest vineyards, producing excellent wines like Pomino Bianco, with its rich aroma and mineral notes. This pure, refined, and exceptionally delicate white wine is among Italy's most celebrated white wines. Pomino Bianco is an excellent accompaniment to Tuscan cuisine.

Frescobaldi

Marchesi de' Frescobaldi is one of Tuscany's great names – and has been for some 700 years. Today, the family manages nine individual estates, from the cool Apennine slopes of Pomino to Chianti Rufina and the Maremma coast, clearly capturing the unique characteristics of each terroir in the bottle. Tiziana, Lamberto, and Diana Frescobaldi run the estate as the 30th generation, with the same commitment as their ancestors: to take tradition seriously without sacrificing innovation. Since 2012, all estates have held the AgriQualità certification of the Tuscany region; Castello Nipozzano and Castello Pomino were also the first Tuscan wineries to receive PEFC certification for sustainable forest management.
