Castelgiocondo Brunello di Montalcino DOCG

The oldest estate of the Frescobaldi family, the Tenuta di Castiglioni, has been in the family's possession since the 11th century. Probably around the year 1300, the foundation stone for the magnificent viticultural tradition of the house of Frescobaldi was laid at Castiglioni. The significant Chianti winery Castiglioni is located in a gentle hilly landscape that is open on all sides and well-ventilated. The vegetation is typically Mediterranean with predominantly oaks, hornbeams, pines, and broom.

The warm and dry microclimate with gentle sea breezes and sandy-clayey soils ensures a distinct wild berry note in the bouquet of the Tenuta Frescobaldi di Castiglioni, which is finely interwoven with mineral notes and very subtle aromas of cocoa, tobacco, vanilla, and cinnamon. Through the 12-month aging in barriques and two months of refinement in the bottle, a highly harmonious, juicy red wine carried by elegant length reaches the connoisseur, whose style has ideally combined tradition and modernity.
