Wachtenburg Weissburgunder Sekt Pfalz Brut

A sparkling wine that showcases the Palatinate's capabilities – with an elegance that won't soon be forgotten. The Wachtenburg Weissburgunder Sekt Brut from the Wachtenburg winemakers is made for those who refuse to compromise when toasting: not just another interchangeable sparkling wine, but a single-varietal sparkling wine with character and origin.

On the nose, it greets you with spicy and floral nuances that mingle with fruity impressions of ripe apple and peach – fresh, inviting, and complex. On the palate, a lively, crisp acidity follows, accompanied by white currants and a delicate, creamy texture that pleasantly rounds off the finish. The carbonation is finely integrated, and the aftertaste is long and pleasant.

This sparkling wine is excellent as an aperitif before a good meal , but it also pairs very well with light dishes such as asparagus, fresh goat cheese, seafood, or white fish. Served well chilled at around 7 to 9 degrees Celsius , it unfolds its full potential.

Wachtenburg Winegrowers

The Wachtenburg Winzer eG cooperative from Wachenheim on the German Wine Route is one of the oldest winegrowers' cooperatives in the Palatinate region: founded in 1900 by 53 Palatinate winegrowers, it now represents the shared craft of 24 winegrowing families who cultivate 350 hectares together. It takes its name from the striking Wachtenburg castle ruins high above Wachenheim—a landmark that is literally reflected in the wines of this cooperative. The focus is on Riesling, but the range extends to over 13 white and 11 red grape varieties, catering to a wide variety of tastes. High-quality wine enjoyment at fair prices and careful stewardship of the vineyards—this is the shared philosophy that unites all these winegrowing families.
