A liter of joy from the Palatinate — the Wachtenburg Spätburgunder from the Wachtenburg winegrowers is for everyone who likes to enjoy their favorite wine in generous quantities. The 1.0-liter bottle makes it the ideal choice for social gatherings, long evenings at the table, or whenever you simply want a little more.

In the glass, it reveals itself as complex and fresh: red fruits like cherry and raspberry dominate the aroma, while the palate experiences an elegant, delicate red wine with a pleasant length and soft structure. Typical of the Palatinate – ripe, warm, and without any heaviness.

He cuts a particularly fine figure when eating:

Hearty dishes such as lentils, pot roast or mushroom risotto
Grilled meat, lamb chops or poultry
Mature soft cheeses as an uncomplicated finale

Served slightly chilled at around 16°C, it unfolds its full potential. The liter bottles are also wonderful as gifts for wine evenings — more volume, same quality.

Wachtenburg Winegrowers

The Wachtenburg Winzer eG cooperative from Wachenheim on the German Wine Route is one of the oldest winegrowers' cooperatives in the Palatinate region: founded in 1900 by 53 Palatinate winegrowers, it now represents the shared craft of 24 winegrowing families who cultivate 350 hectares together. It takes its name from the striking Wachtenburg castle ruins high above Wachenheim—a landmark that is literally reflected in the wines of this cooperative. The focus is on Riesling, but the range extends to over 13 white and 11 red grape varieties, catering to a wide variety of tastes. High-quality wine enjoyment at fair prices and careful stewardship of the vineyards—this is the shared philosophy that unites all these winegrowing families.
