Wachtenburger Gewürztraminer Kabinett dry 1.0L

A liter of pure Palatinate: The Wachtenburger Gewürztraminer Kabinett trocken from the Wachtenburg winegrowers is a white wine for anyone seeking aromatic depth and dry clarity in a single glass. The large liter bottle also makes it an easy choice for convivial evenings with friends and family.

The Wachtenburg winegrowers have been cultivating their vineyards in the Palatinate for over 100 years – a region whose mild climate and mineral-rich soils offer ideal conditions for the distinctive Gewürztraminer grape. In the glass, it reveals a rich, concentrated white wine: the aroma is reminiscent of ripe fruit and rose petals, the taste is fruity, balanced, and possesses a pleasant density – yet, thanks to the dry winemaking style, it remains fresh and never heavy.

Especially recommended for:

  • Asian cuisine – Thai and Vietnamese dishes with coconut milk or lemongrass
  • Spicy cheeses like Münster or Limburger
  • Roast duck or roast goose with fruit sauces
  • Onion tart and savory tarte flambée variations

The Kabinett trocken is an honest everyday wine with character – served well chilled at around 10–12 °C, it unfolds its full aroma.

Wachtenburg Winegrowers

The Wachtenburg Winzer eG cooperative from Wachenheim on the German Wine Route is one of the oldest winegrowers' cooperatives in the Palatinate region: founded in 1900 by 53 Palatinate winegrowers, it now represents the shared craft of 24 winegrowing families who cultivate 350 hectares together. It takes its name from the striking Wachtenburg castle ruins high above Wachenheim—a landmark that is literally reflected in the wines of this cooperative. The focus is on Riesling, but the range extends to over 13 white and 11 red grape varieties, catering to a wide variety of tastes. High-quality wine enjoyment at fair prices and careful stewardship of the vineyards—this is the shared philosophy that unites all these winegrowing families.
