Wachenheimer Königswingert Riesling dry 1.0L

Wachenheimer Königswingert Riesling dry – 1.0 liter

A Riesling that needs no lengthy explanation – because it speaks for itself in the glass. The Königswingert from the Wachtenburg winegrowers in Wachenheim in the Palatinate is a single-varietal, dry Riesling that delivers exactly what this grape variety is loved for: vibrant fruit, a delicate minerality, and an acidity that invigorates rather than overwhelms.

The large one-liter bottle gives you more of what's good – ideal for relaxed evenings with friends or as a reliable companion at a slightly larger table.

In the glass: Fresh aromas of citrus and stone fruits, underpinned by a pleasant minerality reminiscent of the Palatinate soils. On the palate, it displays a beautiful balance between acidity and a touch of residual sweetness – dry, but never harsh.

Best to go to:

  • Grilled or steamed fish
  • Light meats such as chicken or veal cutlets
  • Summer salads and light appetizers
  • Asian-inspired dishes with mild spice

A Palatinate Riesling that you can pour yourself another glass of with a clear conscience.

Wachtenburg Winzer

The Wachtenburg Winzer eG cooperative from Wachenheim on the German Wine Route is one of the oldest winegrowers' cooperatives in the Palatinate region: founded in 1900 by 53 Palatinate winegrowers, it now represents the shared craft of 24 winegrowing families who cultivate 350 hectares together. It takes its name from the striking Wachtenburg castle ruins high above Wachenheim—a landmark that is literally reflected in the wines of this cooperative. The focus is on Riesling, but the range extends to over 13 white and 11 red grape varieties, catering to a wide variety of tastes. High-quality wine enjoyment at fair prices and careful stewardship of the vineyards—this is the shared philosophy that unites all these winegrowing families.
