Wachtenburg Crémant Pfalz Zero Dosage

A Crémant from the Palatinate – that's a small discovery in itself. And when it's bottled as Zero Dosage , it speaks volumes: no added sugar, no compromises, just what the grape, the cellar, and time have coaxed out of them.

The Wachtenburg Crémant Pfalz Zero Dosage from the Wachtenburg winegrowers displays a delicate, pale yellow color with fine bubbles in the glass. On the nose, you'll encounter fresh apple notes , subtly underpinned by a spicy depth that piques your curiosity. The palate then makes a lively entrance: citrus fruit, a lovely yeasty texture , and an elegant, well-integrated acidity that keeps the finish long and fresh. The overall impression is clear, vibrant, and pleasantly dry—without any harshness.

Zero dosage here means: the wine is unpretentious. If you love Champagne but are looking for an honest, approachable style, you'll find it here. Ideal as an aperitif , with oysters, light fish dishes, or goat cheese. It also makes a great companion throughout an entire meal—anywhere you've been looking for a crisp, dry sparkling wine with character.

Wachtenburg Winegrowers

The Wachtenburg Winzer eG cooperative from Wachenheim on the German Wine Route is one of the oldest winegrowers' cooperatives in the Palatinate region: founded in 1900 by 53 Palatinate winegrowers, it now represents the shared craft of 24 winegrowing families who cultivate 350 hectares together. It takes its name from the striking Wachtenburg castle ruins high above Wachenheim—a landmark that is literally reflected in the wines of this cooperative. The focus is on Riesling, but the range extends to over 13 white and 11 red grape varieties, catering to a wide variety of tastes. High-quality wine enjoyment at fair prices and careful stewardship of the vineyards—this is the shared philosophy that unites all these winegrowing families.
