Wachtenburg Pinot Gris Burg dry

The Wachtenburg Pinot Gris dry from the Wachtenburg winemakers is a white wine from the Palatinate region that doesn't do things by halves—and that's precisely what makes it so special. If you're looking for a wine that truly has something to say, this is the one for you.

In the glass, it displays a seductive bouquet of ripe apricot and delicate honey , immediately sparking curiosity. On the palate, it unfolds what the people of the Palatinate aptly call a "mouthful of wine": powerful, robust, substantial —not a delicate drop, but a wine with character and depth. The finish is remarkably full and lingers in a long, magnificent aftertaste that resonates for some time.

The Wachtenburg winegrowers from Wachenheim on the Wine Route stand for honest Palatinate winemaking — and this Pinot Gris is convincing proof of that.

Goes perfectly with:

  • Hearty and spicy cuisine — braised dishes, strong cheeses, onion tarts
  • Grilled or fried fish
  • Fresh salads with a robust dressing
  • A cozy evening without any particular occasion — simply because it's good.

Wachtenburg Winzer

The Wachtenburg Winzer eG cooperative from Wachenheim on the German Wine Route is one of the oldest winegrowers' cooperatives in the Palatinate region: founded in 1900 by 53 Palatinate winegrowers, it now represents the shared craft of 24 winegrowing families who cultivate 350 hectares together. It takes its name from the striking Wachtenburg castle ruins high above Wachenheim—a landmark that is literally reflected in the wines of this cooperative. The focus is on Riesling, but the range extends to over 13 white and 11 red grape varieties, catering to a wide variety of tastes. High-quality wine enjoyment at fair prices and careful stewardship of the vineyards—this is the shared philosophy that unites all these winegrowing families.
