Schenkenböhl Riesling Kabinett semi-dry 1.0L

Schenkenböhl Riesling Kabinett semi-dry 1.0L
A classic Palatinate Riesling in Kabinett style – with the characteristic balance between fruity freshness and a subtle residual sweetness that makes the wine so easy to drink.
Wachtenburg Winzer is a winegrowers' cooperative in Wachenheim an der Mittelhardt, one of the best vineyard sites on the German Wine Route. The Schenkenböhl vineyard is a recognized single vineyard site on deep sandstone and loam soils – the foundation for Rieslings with ripe fruit and a rounded structure.
In the glass, the wine displays aromas of yellow apple, peach, and a hint of white blossom. The acidity is present but not harsh – typical of off-dry Kabinett wines, which use their slight residual sweetness to balance fruit and acidity. The finish is longer than one would expect given the price range.
Serving temperature: 8–10 °C. Pairs well with grilled chicken, asparagus with hollandaise sauce, light salads with citrus dressing, or pan-fried pollock. Also a solid choice as an uncomplicated summer evening wine – the liter bottle makes it practical for social gatherings.

The Wachtenburg Winzer eG cooperative from Wachenheim on the German Wine Route is one of the oldest winegrowers' cooperatives in the Palatinate region: founded in 1900 by 53 Palatinate winegrowers, it now represents the shared craft of 24 winegrowing families who cultivate 350 hectares together. It takes its name from the striking Wachtenburg castle ruins high above Wachenheim—a landmark that is literally reflected in the wines of this cooperative. The focus is on Riesling, but the range extends to over 13 white and 11 red grape varieties, catering to a wide variety of tastes. High-quality wine enjoyment at fair prices and careful stewardship of the vineyards—this is the shared philosophy that unites all these winegrowing families.
