Carrubo Primitivo di Manduria DOC

Carrubo Primitivo di Manduria DOC
Primitivo di Manduria from Apulia — fully ripe fruit, warm spice, and a body that reflects the Apulian sun. The Carrubo from Tormaresca does exactly what this grape variety is known for: powerful aromas, soft tannins, and a long finish.
Tormaresca belongs to the Antinori family and has been cultivating large parts of the Apulian highlands since 1998. Their aim was to reinterpret Apulia's indigenous grape varieties—above all Primitivo and Negroamaro—using modern cellar techniques without losing their regional character. Carrubo is the gateway to this philosophy.
In the glass, the wine shines a deep ruby red. The nose reveals sour cherry, ripe plum, and a hint of amaretto, underpinned by tobacco and dark spices. On the palate, the tannins are soft and rounded, and the fruit remains present through to the long, slightly spicy finish.
