Tormaresca Masseria Maime Salento

Apulia, the heel of the Italian boot, is one of the flattest and most fertile regions in Italy. The DOC area of Castel del Monte, named after the castle built in the 13th century, has established itself as a first-class wine-growing region with magnificent vineyards.

Marchese Piero Antinori recognized the immense potential of the climate and terroir here and had the international grape varieties Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon planted on 350 hectares of vineyards alongside the regional Aglianico variety. Tormaresca is therefore one of the pioneers in the cultivation of international grape varieties in Apulia.

The Masseria Maime from Tormaresca sparkles ruby red in the glass and captivates with a bouquet of red berries. Its 14-month barrique aging also gives it a pleasant wood note, well integrated into the soft and spicy taste. Sweet, gentle tannins round off this "Three Glasses" wine wonderfully.

Aged for 14 months in barriques and 6 months in the bottle.
