Torcicoda Primitivo Salento IGT Magnum 1.5L

A Primitivo that shows what Apulia can do: ripe fruit, velvety structure, and enough depth for a big evening. The magnum bottle makes it the first choice when more than two people are sitting at the table.

Tormaresca belongs to the Antinori family and has been cultivating vineyards in Apulia since the late 1990s — Castel del Monte in the north, Salento in the south. The Torcicoda comes from Salento, where the Primitivo ripens on deep red clay soils under intense sunlight. Ten months of barrel aging give the wine structure without masking the varietal's typical fruitiness.

In the glass, it shows dark blackberry and damson, plus kirsch, a hint of cocoa, and a subtle vanilla note from the wood aging. The tannins are soft and well-integrated, the acidity is moderate — resulting in a round, accessible red wine with a warm, long finish.
