Tavel Rosé AC Tavel 0.75L

Tavel is considered the most classic rosé appellation in France — and E. Guigal, the renowned house from the northern Rhône Valley, shows with this wine why that is. Not a pale summer rosé, but a wine with real bite and depth.

For decades, Guigal has stood for artisanal precision in the Rhône Valley. Tavel, located south of Avignon, is the only appellation in France permitted to produce exclusively rosé — on calcareous sand and gravel soil, which gives the wines structure and spice. Cinsault, the lead grape variety of this wine, brings freshness and fine fruit, while remaining dry and clearly contoured.

In the glass, it shows a rich raspberry pink. On the nose, strawberry, ripe cherry, and a hint of dried herbs — thyme, lavender. On the palate, dry, with lively acidity and a light spice on the finish that clearly sets it apart from light café rosés.

Pairs with grilled lamb chops, ratatouille, or a robust goat cheese. Serving temperature: 10–12 °C — cool, but not ice-cold, so that the herbal notes can unfold.

E. Guigal

Maison Guigal – one of the most prestigious wineries in the Rhône Valley. Founded in 1946 by Étienne Guigal, it has been family-owned for three generations. From Ampuis, in the heart of the Côte-Rôtie, Guigal focuses on precision and craftsmanship. The crowning achievement: the three legendary single-vineyard wines La Landonne, La Mouline, and La Turque – world-class Syrah wines. Each parcel is vinified individually, some aged in new barriques. But Guigal is more than that: Hermitage, Condrieu, Saint-Joseph, Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Everywhere you look, you'll find a passion for detail and for the terroir.
