Maison Guigal – one of the most prestigious wineries in the Rhône Valley. Founded in 1946 by Étienne Guigal, it has been family-owned for three generations. From Ampuis, in the heart of the Côte-Rôtie, Guigal focuses on precision and craftsmanship. The crowning achievement: the three legendary single-vineyard wines La Landonne, La Mouline, and La Turque – world-class Syrah wines. Each parcel is vinified individually, some aged in new barriques. But Guigal is more than that: Hermitage, Condrieu, Saint-Joseph, Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Everywhere you look, you'll find a passion for detail and for the terroir.

Maison Guigal –
three generations of craft from the Rhône Valley
E. Guigal is one of the defining names of the Rhône Valley – and has been since 1946, when Étienne Guigal laid the foundation in Ampuis. Today, the family runs the winery in the third generation, with the same demand: harvest every parcel individually, vinify every appellation in its own way.
The centerpiece are the three single-vineyard wines La Landonne, La Mouline, and La Turque – all Syrah from the steep slopes of Côte-Rôtie, partly aged in new barriques, with long maturation times in the cellar. They stand for what characterizes Guigal: concentration without heaviness, depth without overpressure.
But the range extends far beyond Ampuis. Hermitage, Condrieu, Saint-Joseph, Châteauneuf-du-Pape – everywhere the same style is recognizable: precise fruit, clear terroir, no sensationalism. If you want to understand the Rhône Valley, you cannot avoid Guigal.
