E. Guigal is one of the most influential names in the Rhône Valley. Étienne Guigal founded the winery in 1946 in Ampuis , in the heart of the Côte-Rôtie – one of the steepest and most demanding wine regions in France. Today, the third generation runs the estate with the same philosophy: few compromises, plenty of patience, and consistent work in the vineyard.

Guigal's reputation rests on three single-vineyard wines mentioned in the same breath as the great names of Burgundy: La Mouline, La Landonne, and La Turque. Each parcel is vinified separately, and the wines age for up to 40 months in new barriques – hence the density, depth, and long drinking window. Syrah in its most concentrated form.

But Guigal's portfolio is broader: Condrieu made from Viognier grapes with floral notes, Hermitage in red and white, Saint-Joseph, Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Across all appellations, one thing is clear: a style that takes terroir seriously and understands winemaking as a craft – not a formula.
