Condrieu La Doriane AC 0.75L

The Condrieu La Doriane is Guigal's flagship white wine from the northern Rhône — a single-vineyard selection from the best Viognier parcels of the Condrieu appellation, vinified as a dry white wine with all the aromatic weight that this grape variety can develop on granite weathering soils.

Domaine E. Guigal in Ampuis has been one of the defining names of the northern Rhône for decades. Marcel Guigal expanded his father Étienne's house into one of the most famous wineries in the appellation — today his son Philippe runs the business. La Doriane is made from selected sites on the steep granite terraces above the Rhône, where the Viognier develops its typical combination of fullness and freshness.

In the glass, it shows a deep golden yellow. The nose opens with peach, apricot, and elderflower, underneath a mineral undertone and a hint of white pepper. On the palate, full-bodied and dense, with an acidity structure that keeps the opulence of the Viognier in balance — the finish is long, slightly oily, and floral.

Best served at 12–14 °C. Pairs well with lobster bisque, scallops with saffron sauce, or a strong goat cheese from the Loire.
