Wine landscape of the Crozes-Hermitage region

Crozes-Hermitage

Crozes-Hermitage is the largest appellation in terms of area, surrounding the famous Hermitage hill in the northern Rhône Valley. Syrah dominates the red wines, typically contributing dark berry fruit, peppery spice, and a pleasant earthy depth – more approachable than its larger neighbor Hermitage, but with the same unmistakable character of the northern Rhône . White Crozes-Hermitage wines made from Marsanne and Roussanne grapes complement the profile with their mineral freshness.

At Vinoscout you'll find a hand-picked selection of three wines from Crozes-Hermitage that authentically reflect the style of the region. With prices ranging from around €18 to €45, it's easy to find both an uncomplicated entry point and a sophisticated bottle for special occasions – ideal for discovering what this underrated appellation has to offer.
