Delas Crozes-Hermitage Les Stimmes

Delas Crozes-Hermitage Les Stimmes
A classic Syrah from the northern Rhône Valley — straightforward, dark fruity and with that unmistakable peppery kick for which Crozes-Hermitage is known.
Delas Frères is one of the oldest winegrowers in the Rhône, founded in 1835 in Tain-l'Hermitage. Les Launes is their entry-level cuvée from the Crozes-Hermitage appellation—the largest area by area surrounding the famous Hermitage hill. Syrah dominates on the terrace's clay and sandy soils, producing approachable red wines that are ready to drink early.
In the glass, a deep garnet red with violet edges. On the nose, dark blackberry, plum jam, and a hint of dark chocolate, along with black pepper and a touch of smoke—typical of northern Syrah. On the palate, medium-bodied, velvety tannins, a juicy structure, and a pleasantly spicy finish.
Serving temperature: 16–18 °C. Drinking window: now until 2027. Pairs well with lamb chops with thyme , grilled merguez, mature cheddar or pasta with tomato sauce and olives.
