Tanca Farra Alghero Rosso

A fragrant and characterful Alghero Rosso. Tanca Farra boasts a beautiful Cabernet Sauvignon character and a subtle oak note on the finish. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 12 months in barriques made of Troncais and Allier oak. The 2020 vintage impresses with its ruby-red color and delicate violet hues. The nose presents vibrant notes of ripe red fruits with pronounced sour cherry. The captivating Mediterranean spice is exceptionally pleasant, ranging from the balsamic notes of myrtle to the sweetness of tobacco. The initial impression is soft and enveloping, the warm alcohol perfectly balanced by the persistent, maritime-like spice. The lingering acidity, which gives the wine its structure, guarantees excellent aging potential. A long, persistent, retronasal aroma lingers, culminating in a pleasant, delicate vanilla note from the oak on the finish.

Sella & Mosca

The Italian winery Sella & Mosca was founded in 1899 by Emilio Sella and Edgardo Mosca. Located on the island of Sardinia, near the city of Alghero, it is now owned by the Campari Group. A total of 550 hectares of vineyards are used to cultivate grapes for the production of both white and red wines. The volcanic soils, combined with the local Mediterranean climate, provide perfect conditions for vine growth. Grape varieties used for red wine production include Connonau, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignano, and Merlot. Sella & Mosca's white wines are made from grape varieties such as Vermentino, Sauvignon Blanc, and Torbato.
