Sella & Mosca Alghero Rosato

Sella & Mosca Alghero Rosato
A Sardinian rosé wine that has more substance than most in its category: The Cannonau grape gives the Alghero Rosato from Sella & Mosca its characteristic depth and the strong cherry red color in the glass.
Sella & Mosca is one of the oldest and largest wineries in Sardinia — the winery in Alghero in the northwest of the island has been in operation since 1899. The Cannonau grape, genetically related to Grenache, has thrived on the island's dry, sun-drenched soils for centuries, yielding fully ripe grapes with a Mediterranean character.
In the glass, it displays a bright cherry red color. The nose offers aromas of red forest berries, sour cherry, and a hint of dried hibiscus. On the palate, it is dry and fresh, with mild acidity and a short, clean, fruity finish with hints of ripe plum.
Best served at 10–12 °C . Pairs well with grilled octopus, pasta with tomato and olive sauce, Pecorino Sardo, or light meat platters. Also a great choice as a simple aperitif on the patio.
