Sella & Mosca Cannonau di Sardegna Riserva

The typical Sardinian grape variety Cannonau thrives particularly well here, both in the warm, sandy soils of the coastal region and in the rocky mountain areas. This garnet to brick-red wine develops a distinct violet bouquet with age. After destemming, the grapes are macerated for three days to better extract the tannins and color from the skins. Dry red wine with ripe dark fruit, a hint of violets, and soft tannins integrated by two years of oak aging. The finish is warm and persistent — typical for Cannonau from Sardinia.

What does this wine pair best with?

It is a classic companion to game and lamb, but also stands its ground alongside braised meat, goose, or hearty pasta. To finish, it pairs well with aged Pecorino.

At what temperature should I serve it?

Best at 16–18 °C. If served too warm, the alcohol comes to the fore — a short time in the cellar or 20 minutes in the fridge is sufficient.
