Terre Bianche Torbato Alghero

A delicate yellow with golden reflections in the glass, this Terre Bianche Torbato Alghero presents itself beautifully. Initially, the primary fruit aromas dominate, but with appropriate bottle aging, the varietal nuances develop wonderfully. The late-ripening Torbato variety, now cultivated exclusively by Sella & Mosca, is harvested at the end of September and chilled after pressing to ensure optimal extraction. A controlled fermentation then begins, lasting approximately 20 days.

Sella & Mosca

The Italian winery Sella & Mosca was founded in 1899 by Emilio Sella and Edgardo Mosca. Located on the island of Sardinia, near the city of Alghero, it is now owned by the Campari Group. A total of 550 hectares of vineyards are used to cultivate grapes for the production of both white and red wines. The volcanic soils, combined with the local Mediterranean climate, provide perfect conditions for vine growth. Grape varieties used for red wine production include Connonau, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignano, and Merlot. Sella & Mosca's white wines are made from grape varieties such as Vermentino, Sauvignon Blanc, and Torbato.
