Solera Familiar Rare Cream Solera Superior

Solera Familiar Rare Cream Solera Superior
A cream sherry from the Solera Familiar – a blend of aged Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez. The Oloroso provides oxidative depth and structure, the PX concentrated sweetness. In the glass, it shines a rich mahogany brown; the nose offers dried figs, dark raisins, candied orange peel, and a hint of walnut. With aeration, notes of cinnamon and cocoa emerge.
On the palate, velvety and sumptuous, the sweetness well integrated – not heavy sweetness, but a lively balance with a nutty bitterness in the background. Long finish that elegantly rounds off the sweetness.
Serve at 12–14 °C in a copita glass. Pairs well with blue cheeses like Roquefort, dark chocolate (70% or higher), or walnut tart. Also enjoyable on its own as a digestif.

Emilio Lustau is one of the most renowned sherry bodegas in Spain – and a real insider tip for anyone who really wants to understand fortified wines.
In sun-drenched Jerez de la Frontera, where 300 days of sunshine a year set the rhythm, sherries of impressive depth are produced: nutty Amontillados, velvety Pedro Ximénez, and the salty, vibrant Manzanilla Papirusa – matured under the cool sea breeze of the Guadalquivir. Each glass tells a story of time, craftsmanship, and a distinctive terroir.
Prepare to be surprised – Lustau will show you how versatile and fascinating sherry can truly be.
