Limited Edition Vintage Sherry 1995 0.5L

A sweet sherry from Palomino, a grape variety that is otherwise primarily known for dry wines in Jerez. The 1995 vintage from the vintage series by Emilio Lustau shows what Palomino can do beyond Fino and Manzanilla.

Lustau is based in Jerez de la Frontera in Andalusia. For this limited edition, the grapes are 100% Palomino Fino. The sweetness is of natural origin: late harvest and only partial fermentation leave some of the grape sugar in the wine.

In the glass, it appears deep mahogany. On the nose, it is intense, with candied stone fruits and spicy-roasted nuances. On the palate, it is sweet and supple, carried by a lively acidity that provides a counterweight to the sweetness. This is joined by caramelized orange peel, vanilla, and smoky wood. The finish is very long.

Serve at 10–12 °C in small glasses. It pairs well with blue cheese like Roquefort, crème brûlée, or nut tart, and can also be drunk neat as the conclusion to a meal. The bottle holds 0.5 liters.

Emilio Lustau

Emilio Lustau is one of the most renowned sherry bodegas in Spain – and a real insider tip for anyone who really wants to understand fortified wines.

In sun-drenched Jerez de la Frontera, where 300 days of sunshine a year set the rhythm, sherries of impressive depth are produced: nutty Amontillados, velvety Pedro Ximénez, and the salty, vibrant Manzanilla Papirusa – matured under the cool sea breeze of the Guadalquivir. Each glass tells a story of time, craftsmanship, and a distinctive terroir.

Prepare to be surprised – Lustau will show you how versatile and fascinating sherry can truly be.
