Almacenista Manzanilla Pasada de Sanlúcar 0.5L

A Manzanilla Pasada made from Palomino Fino: dry, salty-fresh, and with more structure than one expects from a young Manzanilla. The half-liter bottle is well-suited for an evening for two.

The wine comes from a solera with eighty barrels in the bodegas of Manuel Cuevas Jurado, which are located on Calle Trabajadero in Sanlúcar de Barrameda. Cuevas Jurado is an almacenista, an independent sherry warehouse keeper. Emilio Lustau bottles his wines in the Almacenista series. The proximity to the Atlantic shapes the style of this Manzanilla.

In the glass, it appears pale straw yellow. On the nose, almonds and anise are in the foreground, accompanied by a hint of sea breeze. On the palate, it appears dry, light, and slender, but retains the substance and body of a classic Manzanilla.

Serve it well-chilled at 6–8 °C. It goes well with salted almonds, olives, jamón, fried prawns, or fried fish.

Emilio Lustau

Emilio Lustau is one of the most renowned sherry bodegas in Spain – and a real insider tip for anyone who really wants to understand fortified wines.

In sun-drenched Jerez de la Frontera, where 300 days of sunshine a year set the rhythm, sherries of impressive depth are produced: nutty Amontillados, velvety Pedro Ximénez, and the salty, vibrant Manzanilla Papirusa – matured under the cool sea breeze of the Guadalquivir. Each glass tells a story of time, craftsmanship, and a distinctive terroir.

Prepare to be surprised – Lustau will show you how versatile and fascinating sherry can truly be.
