Almacenista Amontillado del Puerto 0.5L

An Amontillado from El Puerto de Santa María: amber-golden in the glass, nutty on the nose, dry in the finish. The Almacenista Amontillado del Puerto shows how much depth can be in a small solera.

The sherry consists of 100% Palomino Fino and comes from a solera with only ten barrels. It is located in the bodegas of José Luis González Obregón in El Puerto de Santa María, in the sherry triangle of Andalusia. Emilio Lustau bottles it in the Almacenista series, which presents sherries from individual warehouse keepers under their own name.

In the glass, a warm amber-gold glows. On the nose, fine wood notes and a nutty depth come together, which continues on the palate. The start is balanced with a subtle trace of sweetness, after which the sherry fades out in a long, dry finish.

Serve it at 12 to 14 °C in a small white wine glass. It pairs well with Jamón Serrano, aged Manchego, fried mushrooms, or a clear consommé and also accompanies a quiet evening after a meal.

Emilio Lustau

Emilio Lustau is one of the most renowned sherry bodegas in Spain – and a real insider tip for anyone who really wants to understand fortified wines.

In sun-drenched Jerez de la Frontera, where 300 days of sunshine a year set the rhythm, sherries of impressive depth are produced: nutty Amontillados, velvety Pedro Ximénez, and the salty, vibrant Manzanilla Papirusa – matured under the cool sea breeze of the Guadalquivir. Each glass tells a story of time, craftsmanship, and a distinctive terroir.

Prepare to be surprised – Lustau will show you how versatile and fascinating sherry can truly be.
