Solera Familiar Cream Capataz Andrés

Solera Familiar Cream Capataz Andrés
A Cream Sherry from the González Byass winery: Capataz Andrés blends Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez, each aged individually for around eight years in the Solera system. The result is a rich, yet by no means heavy, sweet wine from Jerez.
On the nose, smoky wood, dates, figs, and raisins – typical Solera aromas with oxidative depth. Surprisingly fresh and silky on the palate, the sweetness of the PX is kept in check by a balanced acidity. Not heavy, but an elegant finish.
Well chilled (8–10 °C) as a digestif, with blue cheese, walnut tart or dark chocolate. Also classically served over vanilla ice cream.

Emilio Lustau is one of the most renowned sherry bodegas in Spain – and a real insider tip for anyone who really wants to understand fortified wines.
In sun-drenched Jerez de la Frontera, where 300 days of sunshine a year set the rhythm, sherries of impressive depth are produced: nutty Amontillados, velvety Pedro Ximénez, and the salty, vibrant Manzanilla Papirusa – matured under the cool sea breeze of the Guadalquivir. Each glass tells a story of time, craftsmanship, and a distinctive terroir.
Prepare to be surprised – Lustau will show you how versatile and fascinating sherry can truly be.
