Brandy Solera Gran Reserva Family Reserve 1of5 0.5L

Emilio Lustau is one of the most renowned houses in Jerez de la Frontera – known for exceptional sherries, but also for Brandy de Jerez, which matures in the same solera system as the house's large barrels. This Family Reserve stands at the top of the Lustau brandy range: Gran Reserva, stored in barrels that previously housed Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez.

In the glass, it shows aromas of dried prune, toasted almonds, and dark caramel, underscored by a spicy oak note. The Oloroso influence brings depth and a dry nut line, the Pedro Ximénez a restrained sweetness of raisins and fig. The texture is oily and full, the finish long with a hint of dark chocolate.

It unfolds its aroma profile best when enjoyed neat at 10–15 °C – in a short brandy glass that concentrates the nose. Pair with ripe Manchego, dark chocolate with a high cocoa content, or walnuts. Also a classic choice as a digestif after a long dinner.

Emilio Lustau

Emilio Lustau is one of the most renowned sherry bodegas in Spain – and a real insider tip for anyone who really wants to understand fortified wines.

In sun-drenched Jerez de la Frontera, where 300 days of sunshine a year set the rhythm, sherries of impressive depth are produced: nutty Amontillados, velvety Pedro Ximénez, and the salty, vibrant Manzanilla Papirusa – matured under the cool sea breeze of the Guadalquivir. Each glass tells a story of time, craftsmanship, and a distinctive terroir.

Prepare to be surprised – Lustau will show you how versatile and fascinating sherry can truly be.
