Psenner eRetico Single Malt Whiskey

Psenner eRetico Single Malt Whiskey
A single malt from South Tyrol — distilled by a distillery that has been known for its fruit brandies for generations and consistently applies this craft to whisky.
Psenner in Tramin on the South Tyrolean Wine Route has been distilling since 1947. The distillery is primarily known for its grappas and fruit brandies, but with the eRetico it releases a single malt that translates the alpine character of the region into an unusual whisky profile — aromatically shaped by the climate of the Dolomites and the experience of a distillery with genuine craftsmanship.
On the nose, it displays bright cereal notes, mild vanilla, and a hint of cider—an echo of the house's fruit-focused distilling tradition. On the palate, it is soft and approachable, with a light honey note and a dry, pleasantly short finish.
It's best enjoyed neat at room temperature — or with a single ice cube, which unlocks the fruity aromas. An interesting choice as an introduction to European single malts beyond the Scottish classics.
