Perrin et Fils Vacqueyras Les Christins AOC

Since 1909, when the Perrin family purchased the Beaucastel estate, their pursuit of producing great wines has been strengthened year after year and further developed by the fourth and fifth generations. The Perrin family's philosophy and conviction is that the vines should grow as naturally as possible to express the unique terroir. Chemical fertilizers and pesticides have not been used since 1964. Over the years, the vines have developed their own natural resistance to external influences. Experience has also shown that the wines become greater when they are blended from several grape varieties. Therefore, a total of 13 grape varieties are cultivated at Beaucastel. The grapes for the Vacqueyras Les Christins come from the 8 hectares of 50-year-old vines located above the village of Sarrians, in the southern foothills of Montmiral. The soils consist of stony and sandy clay. The wine is aged in vats and barrels, each approximately 50%. Color: rich, amber-toned red; Nose: black cherry, licorice, and floral; Palate: rich and concentrated structure with a rounded finish. Weinwirtschaft 2021: 89 points; Top 50 Wine Spectator 2021: 90 points for the 2018 vintage.
