Fantini Chardonnay Terre di Chieti IGT

An uncomplicated Chardonnay from the hills of Abruzzo – fresh, ready to drink and with a gold medal from Mundus Vini 2024 in tow.

The Fantini Group is among the most renowned wineries in Abruzzo. Terre di Chieti is one of the most productive IGT zones in central Italy: a mild Adriatic climate, well-ventilated hills, and clay soils. This is precisely the environment in which an approachable, fruit-forward Chardonnay can truly shine.

In the glass, the 2023 vintage displays lemon zest, apple, and a hint of pear, underpinned by light floral notes. The palate is fresh, the acidity crisp and invigorating – no oak influence, no cloying sweetness, just clear fruit and a medium-length, clean finish.

Fantini Group Vini Srl

Fantini Vini is a wine group in southern Italy, founded in 1994 in the Abruzzo region by three visionary friends, Filippo, Valentino, and Camillo, under the name Farnese. They were also known as the Three Dreamers because they succeeded in realizing an impossible dream: to create something that would become the pride of southern Italy. Despite having neither money nor their own vineyards, they developed a highly innovative business model that, after 30 years, boasts more than 100 successful wines from southern Italy.
