Vanita Pecorino Terre di Chieti

Vanita Pecorino Terre di Chieti
A white wine from Abruzzo that shows why the Pecorino grape is currently receiving so much attention: aromatically precise, with a freshness that can withstand even warm evenings.
The Fantini Group from Abruzzo is among the most productive and reliable wineries in central Italy. Their Vanità wines come from the Terre di Chieti IGT – a sprawling wine-growing region on the Adriatic coast, where continental warmth meets sea breezes. The Pecorino grape variety – once almost forgotten – has experienced a true renaissance here over the last two decades.
In the glass, it displays a clear straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The nose offers aromas of ripe pear, a hint of white peach, and a slightly herbal, almost balsamic note. On the palate, it is lively yet vibrant: medium acidity, no harsh tannins, and a short, fresh finish with a citrusy edge.
- Temperature: 10–12 °C
- Pairs well with: Grilled sea bream, pasta with clams, fresh goat cheese or bruschetta with tomatoes
- Drinking window: Drink now – not a wine for aging, but just right for uncomplicated summer evenings.
