Vanita Pecorino Terre di Chieti

A white wine from Abruzzo that shows why the Pecorino grape is getting so much attention right now: aromatically precise, with a freshness that stands up even to warm evenings.

The Fantini Group from Abruzzo is one of the most productive and reliable houses in Central Italy. Their wines under the Vanità label draw from the Terre di Chieti IGT – a vast growing area on the Adriatic coast where continental warmth meets sea breezes. The Pecorino grape variety – once almost forgotten – has experienced a real renaissance here in the last two decades.

In the glass, it shows a clear straw yellow with greenish reflections. On the nose, ripe pear, a hint of white peach, and a slightly herbal, almost balsamic note. Present on the palate, yet lively: medium acidity, no annoying tannin, short fresh finish with a citrus-like edge.
