Fantini Sangiovese Terre di Chieti

In the Abruzzo region, more precisely in the province of Chieti, lies the medieval castle of Ortona. High-quality wines have been produced here since the 14th century, enjoying great prestige at many aristocratic tables even then. Today, these wines are produced under the direction of Farnese Vini, a company that focuses particularly on local, indigenous grape varieties, but also on international varieties. One example is the wine made entirely from Sangiovese, the most widespread red grape variety. After a 10-day maceration, the wine is further aged in large wooden barrels and stainless steel tanks before being bottled after approximately six months. Color: deep, bright ruby red. Aroma: The fruity scent of sour cherries and strawberries caresses the nose when smelling a glass of this Sangiovese, accompanied by very subtle oak notes. Taste: The Sangiovese has a well-balanced flavor with medium tannins and a pronounced acidity. The fruity aromas are clearly expressed.

Fantini Group Vini Srl

Fantini Vini is a wine group in southern Italy, founded in 1994 in the Abruzzo region by three visionary friends, Filippo, Valentino, and Camillo, under the name Farnese. They were also known as the Three Dreamers because they succeeded in realizing an impossible dream: to create something that would become the pride of southern Italy. Despite having neither money nor their own vineyards, they developed a highly innovative business model that, after 30 years, boasts more than 100 successful wines from southern Italy.
