Dreissigacker Wunderwerk Pinot Gris dry

At Jochen Dreissigacker, the great wines are cultivated and vinified as naturally and gently as possible. This Pinot Gris is spontaneously fermented 100% in large wooden barrels. After another seven months on the lees, it is bottled unfiltered. The result of this long process is innovative, elegant, unique, fine, and significant - a masterpiece.

Dreissigacker's Wunderwerk Pinot Gris possesses a very aromatic scent of roasted notes with baked apple, a hint of honeydew melon, and some herbal spice. On the palate, it has a dense body with power as well as an elegant, fine melting quality. Refreshing with a certain mineral tension; velvety tannins with wood spice; extremely deep and promisingly complex without losing its liveliness and energy; long finish with a complex, salty-mineral aftertaste.

Dreissigacker

The German winery Dreissigacker is located in Rheinhessen and was founded in 1728. The current owner is Jochen Dreissigacker, who has a total cultivation area of 28 hectares. The winery pays special attention to the cultivation and production of Riesling wines, which occupy more than half of the vineyards.

Other grape varieties grown are the Pinot varieties Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Noir, as well as Chardonnay and Pinot. Dreissigacker produces 180,000 bottles of wine annually. Eichelmann 2021 award "World Class Winery" *****
